“Having had a great experience on our first Robertson & Co holiday back in September 2020, we thought who better to come to for the May Bank Holiday than Cecci herself! My girlfriend and I had travelled to the Lake District beforehand, albeit with separate parties, but were in need of a relaxing weekend, full of long walks, great food and good old fashioned pampering from a nice hotel. The dog (Monty) is a non-negotiable asset on our UK expeditions, but having him doesn't come without its difficulties when trying to find good accommodation. Cecci couldn't have found us a better hotel for what we were looking for. Not only was Rothay Manor dog friendly, it was also strategically placed at the foot of Ambleside and the north of Lake Windermere, which gave us great options to go to all parts of the Lake District. Those that know us well also know we simply love our food, and Rothay Manor's breakfast will live long in the memory, as well as its tasting course menu which we couldn't resist on the Saturday evening during our stay. The reason I personally like using Cecci's services is she seems to understand what you, as the individual, couple or party, want from your trip, and gives you recommendations based on those personal presuppositions. Cecci managed to get us into the Drunken Duck Inn, a well-known foodie pub that both myself and my girlfriend had always wanted to go to, as well as suggesting excellent walks and activities for us to take part in. After climbing Helvellyn, rambling Cat Bells and getting tipsy on pretty much every local ale the Lake District had to offer, I'd say it was time very well spent. We are looking forward to using Robertson & Co again soon, here comes the Yorkshire Dales...”
